As we all say goodbye to 2007 I thought I would share some of my pet hates from SL and hope they disappear in 2008: Numero uno has to be the amount of abuse of SL; like the example below, there is a lot of it around and LL seems so reluctant to do anything about it. These people use the system to lure new players into the sex/skin/toys areas to boost their own sales. Its despicable behaviour and its obvious to any how its being perpetrated. I feel for those new players looking for help.
Number two: Stability, yes an old complaint but still news even after a year of instability. It would be nice to be able to stay in game without crashes/invent not loading/ waiting instead of friends lists etc.....
Number 3; Texture theft, this should not be difficult for LL to at least deal with the grand scale thieves that are openly flaunting their rip offs, LL can tell who uploaded the texture first surely - I can't understand how they can allow it to go on but they do!
Number 4; This is one of those things I absolutely hate personally, I know some love having music on their profiles but have you ever searched someone who has it? Especially if you are in a voice convo? Its deafening to say the least and nine times out of ten means you have to relog to stop it! If you ever want me to speak to you again please get rid of it - keep it on myspace or where ever!
Number 5; RL press depiction of Secondlife, all they see is the sex/age issues few bother to look further purely because if they did it wouldn't be news for them. All the great work that charities, for instance, do in SL is rarely reported on - it doesn't sell papers!
