Big Trouble in Little Lindenlab

We all saw Dixie's post about the rolling restart and the comment on the linden-blog : "The rolling restart is a little more aggressively scheduled this time than in times past."

Now just a few hrs after the rolling restart trouble started in Linden Land. Here are the time-stamped blog entries. Don't you love it ?

At approximately 9:25PM PST - 1,200 regions have gone offline. We are currently investigating this outage and will keep you updated!

[11:05PM PST] Ops has found this to be a networking infrastructure related problem. Progress is being made and the list of offline regions is decreasing.

[11:56PM PST] More regions are back online and the list of offline regions has decreased to 500.

The next day !

[1:45AM PST] The remaining regions will be offline for at least a couple more hours according to Ops.

[3.10am PST] We are still working to restore the remaining offline regions. Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for your continued patience.

[4.10am PST] Work is continuing apace. Nothing new to report at the moment.

[5.10am PST] Continuing to work on the problem. Please bear with us.

[6.23am PST] Our tireless operations team have worked hard to rectify the situation, which was related to infrastructure problem affecting hosts on a particular part of our network. Remaining offline regions are coming back online now. One of the operations team will provide more technical details in due course. Thanks for your patience again.
