No new scandals emerged this week, and the news was dominated by efforts to recover from the recent series of them at AIG and throughout Tizzyland. The Tizzer himself stopped by SL yesterday to send me some fan mail (nice to know that even being “gone from SL” he still keeps up on the news!), and Linden Lab continued its endless game of Whack-a-Mole with an announcement that it would begin collecting the VAT it apparently should have been collecting for the past 4 years, an announcement that was stunningly inept even by the low standards usually applied to LL.
